One of the fastest growing religious movements in the world is Pentecostalism. It’s quite influential. But where did it start?
In my latest episode of Theology Breakdown, I interview Dr. James R. Goff, Jr. He’s an important historian and scholar of Pentecostalism. He wrote a book on Charles F. Parham. Dr. Goff argues for Parham’s crucial influence on Pentecostalism. You will want to hear Dr. Goff’s explanations. He dives into what is distinct about Pentecostalism, speaking in tongues, healing, missions, and controversies associated with Parham, related to racism and homosexuality.
